Qera · Queensland Disability Support

Work you can put your name to.

Qera is a small, Brisbane-based NDIS provider. We employ our support workers properly — award pay, super, leave — and we roster you with the same people, so the work builds into something real.

Grace and Tom are the same two people, shift after shift — not a different name every time. That’s the difference between a roster and a booking app.

Why Qera

Flexible, without the trade-offs.

01

You're employed, not gig-booked

SCHADS Award pay, casual loading and superannuation from your first confirmed shift — with a genuine path to Permanent Part-Time and full leave entitlements as your hours build. No invoicing, no chasing payment, no setting up your own insurance.

02

You set your availability, we roster around it

Tell us your week once. We match shifts to it — not the other way around.

03

You see the same people

Where it makes sense, we keep you with the same participants. You're not meeting a stranger every shift, and neither are they.

04

A direct line to who's running it

Qera is small on purpose. Questions go to a director, not a call centre queue.

05

Support work is a profession here, not a stopgap

We expect professionalism, and we give it back. Proper induction, ongoing training, and mentoring from experienced support workers — with a real pathway for career growth the longer you’re with us.

The work itself

What a shift actually looks like

Most Qera shifts fall into two kinds of support: helping someone in Supported Independent Living manage daily life at home, or getting out into the community for the things that make up a normal week — appointments, shopping, catching up with people, being out and about.

Some shifts include personal care. Some don’t. It depends entirely on the person you’re supporting, and we’ll always tell you exactly what a shift involves before you’re rostered to it.

You might be a fit if you have experience or comfort with:

Don’t tick every box? Register anyway — the form below is how we find out what you’re set up for.

How it works

Four steps, and we’ll be straight with you about each one.

Five minutes. The form below — a resume is welcome but not required.

2

We check the essentials

Right to work, screening checks, what you're already set up for and what you'd still need.

3

You're in the pool

You get access to training, mentoring from experienced support workers, and occasional webinars — and you're visible to us for matching.

4

When the right client comes on, we reach out

We'll be honest — this isn't instant. But it means you're first in line for a real, matching opportunity, not one application in a pile of hundreds.

Tell us about you.

This isn’t a job application in the usual sense — there’s no vacancy to compete for. It puts you in front of the queue for the next participant who needs someone like you.

Before you ask

A few honest answers

Does this guarantee me a job?

No — and we'd rather say that upfront than oversell it. It means you're front of the queue when a client who matches your skills and availability comes on, rather than starting from zero when that happens.

I don't have a polished resume. Is that a problem?

Not at all. The form above covers what we actually need. Upload one if you've got it — it's optional either way.

What if my availability or details change later?

You'll get a link to update your details anytime — no need to fill this out again from scratch.
